Many events in the Bible don't make sense to us. On Palm Sunday, for instance, why did people waive palm branches? Why did they say the words they did? And why did Jesus ride on the back of a colt? As it turns out, all of this makes sense if we understand the context of these events, and what the people were expecting. It also helps us understand how Jesus defied their expectations.
