Summary:

It can be tempting in this political season to put our hopes into a candidate to "save us" from everything that's wrong with our world. The crowds on Palm Sunday put their hope in Jesus, expecting Him to be a political revolutionary who would save them from their enemies. But Jesus eventually let them down when they realized that He wasn't going to bring them the political change that they wanted. It can be tempting to welcome Jesus on our terms. But what kind of King is He? What kind of Kingdom does He rule? And what does He expect of those who are a part of His Kingdom? Jesus gives us a glimpse into the answers to these questions in His trial before Pilate.
