    For many of us, especially within the last two years, the words of songs we sing this time of year like “Joy to the World” or “Tidings of comfort and joy” just ring hollow to us. How can we talk about joy when there is so much suffering and division around us? How can we talk about comfort when we have become so uncomfortable? These are questions that we should be asking, and questions that are answered when we look back at Jesus’ birth announcement. Our prayer is that as you listen to this story again, you will be filled with God’s “comfort and joy."
