Summary:

The Bible is full of difficult things to understand, including the command for slaves to obey their masters. This is exactly the message that Peter gives the slaves within the church in 1 Peter 2:18-25. What do we do with passages like these? How can we reconcile a God of love with a God who seems to be advocating an unjust system of oppression? If we understand how to read the Bible in its context, we may have a better idea of how to handle passages like these.
