Youth/Associate Pastor

Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Purpose of the Position:

To develop a discipleship ministry to Middle Schoolers and High Schoolers that helps them love God more completely, love self more correctly, and love others more compassionately.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

To oversee the weekly gathering for Middle School Ministry (MSM) and High School Ministry (HSM), along with appropriate social gatherings and serving opportunities with BCCC and our community at large.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Lead MSM and HSM Gatherings
  • Establish Bible study as an integral part of group meetings and activities
  • Create a supporting, loving, and inclusive environment for students of all ages
  • Build parental involvement and leadership into all aspects of Youth Ministry
  • Work with the Lead Pastor and Children’s Director on curriculum that will help create a cohesive discipleship plan, from Childhood through High School
  • Attend weekly Staff Meeting and engage regularly with the Staff
  • Preach, if gifted to do so, 3-4 times a year
  • Assist the elders with congregational care as needed
  • Support the ministry of BCCC in any way needed to advance the cause of Christ
Professional/Personal Qualifications
  1. Demonstrate a growing relationship with Jesus as reflected in actions, attitude, and behavior
  2. Demonstrate a passion for working with students
  3. Have a servant’s heart and be willing to do what is necessary to fulfill this role as described
  4. Have a highly relational personality that engages Students, Parents, and Staff
  5. Have strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills
Education and Personal Specific
  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Youth Ministry, discipleship, or related ministry
  2. Previous experience in developing and leading Youth Ministries
  3. Be willing to become a Member of BCCC
